Merging PDFs is the sort of task that seems like it should take five seconds and usually involves handing a stack of documents to a website you have never heard of. That is worth pausing over, because the files people most often need to merge are exactly the ones they should be careful with: signed contracts, invoices, medical letters, bank statements, scanned identity documents. This merger runs entirely in your browser. The files are read from disk into the page, combined there, and the result is handed straight back to you. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and no copy exists on any server to be leaked or retained. You can add as many documents as you need, drag them into the right order before combining, and see the page count of each so it is obvious if you have picked the wrong version of something. Password-protected files are the one case that cannot work: if a PDF needs a password to open, remove it first.

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
No. Everything happens inside your browser using a JavaScript PDF library, so the documents never leave your device. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and merging still works, which is a good way to confirm it.
Can I change the order of the files?
Yes. Drag the files into any order before merging, and the pages appear in exactly that sequence. The page count of each file is shown so you can spot the wrong document before combining rather than after.
Does merging reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied across intact rather than re-rendered, so text stays selectable, images keep their original resolution, and vector graphics stay sharp. The output is usually close to the sum of the inputs.
Why won't my password-protected PDF merge?
Because a file that needs a password to open cannot be read without it. Documents that merely restrict printing or editing, which is far more common, do open and merge normally. For a genuinely locked file, remove the password in your PDF reader first.
Is there a limit on file size or number of files?
Up to thirty files, each up to 50 MB. Those limits exist because everything runs in your browser's memory rather than on a server, so very large jobs would risk crashing the tab.
