What this is
HelpySelf is a growing collection of small, single-purpose online tools. Merge a PDF. Resize a folder of photos. Check a colour contrast. Each one does exactly one job, opens instantly, and gets out of the way.
There are no wizards, no sign-up walls in front of the work, and no ten-step flows for a thirty-second task. If a tool needs an explanation longer than a sentence, it is the wrong tool.
The work happens on your device
Most tools here do their work inside your browser. The file you choose is read by your own computer and processed by your own computer — which is why these tools are quick on a slow connection, and why you can use them on documents you would rather not hand to a stranger.
A few need a server, and those say so on their own page. So does the API, which is how the same tools can be called from a script or by an AI assistant — that one is a server by design, and it is free to use.
Nothing is sent or stored as part of using a tool unless you choose it: by saving a result to your account, or by calling the API.
Why there is an account at all
Most tools work without an account. An account exists for the things that follow you between devices: the tools you keep, the results you save, the messages you send us, and the credit for anything you help improve.
Some tools will need Pro as they arrive — the ones that cost real money to run, because they use AI or heavy processing. Those are marked wherever they appear and say why on their own page.
When something you report gets built, you can choose to have your name on that tool's page. That is the whole point of the account, and it is off until you turn it on.
Who makes it
HelpySelf is built and run in Denmark. It is small on purpose: one person, a clear principle, and tools added when they are worth adding rather than to fill a page.
If something is broken, missing, or nearly right, tell us from the tool itself. Every suggestion is read.
