My Video Channel — Share Videos with a Link

Runs on our server, not on your device.

Upload your videos once, then share your whole channel or just one video with a link. No ads, no algorithm.

  1. Sign in, then create a channel or pick one of yours at the top of the page.
  2. Drop one or more videos, choose which channel they go to, change the titles if you like, and press Add to my channel. Your browser prepares each video, then uploads it.
  3. Copy your channel link to share everything, or copy one video's own link to share just that video.

    About this tool

Sometimes you just want to put a video somewhere and send someone the link: the school play for the grandparents, a walkthrough for a client, the clips from a weekend away. Big video sites want an account from the viewer, put ads before your video and suggest a stranger's afterwards. A file-sharing link makes people download a gigabyte before they can watch a second. This tool sits in between: your own small video channel, with a proper player, and nothing else on the page. Drop your videos on the page. Before anything is uploaded, your own device gets each one ready: a phone video is repacked so it starts playing straight away, and a format not every browser can play, such as an iPhone's HEVC or a WebM, is converted to MP4 right there in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server to be converted, which is why this can be free. Then the video goes straight into your account's storage. Every video gets two ways to be shared. Your channel page shows all the videos you choose to list, newest first, with your channel's name at the top: send that link and people can watch everything. Or send one video's own link. Mark a video as link only (what YouTube calls unlisted) and it never appears on the channel, so the video for your client and the one for your family can live on the same account without meeting. People watching never need an account, and nothing plays before your video. The videos count against your account's storage: 500 MB on a free account, kept for 30 days, and 25 GB on Pro, kept for as long as you are subscribed. Anyone who finds something on a channel that should not be there can report it, and the channel goes offline at once.

    Frequently asked questions

Do people need an account to watch?

No. Anyone with the link can watch on a phone, tablet or computer, in the browser they already have. They don't sign up, install anything or sit through an ad. Only you need an account, because the videos are stored in it and you come back to add, rename or delete them.

What is the difference between the channel link and a video link?

The channel link opens a page with every video you have listed, newest first, so people can browse them all. A video link opens just that one video. Each video also has a switch, On channel: turn it off and the video becomes link only, reachable by its own link and never shown on the channel page. A link-only video's page doesn't name your channel or show your other videos, so the person you sent it to sees that video and nothing else.

    Which video formats work?

MP4, MOV from an iPhone or Android phone, WebM and MKV. Before uploading, your browser checks each video and, if needed, converts it to MP4 with H.264, which plays on every phone and computer. A video that is already like that is uploaded untouched. Converting happens on your own device, so a long 4K video takes a while on an older phone or laptop; the page shows how far it has got. Videos are kept at up to 1080p, which is what nearly everyone watches anyway, and far smaller to store.

Is the video hosting really free?

Yes, up to a clear limit. A free account hosts up to 500 MB of video, keeps each video for 30 days and plays it for as many people as you like, with no ads and nothing charged per view. If you need more room, or want your videos kept for good, Pro gives you 25 GB for as long as you are subscribed. You don't need a card to start, and there is no trial that runs out.

How big can my videos be, and how long are they kept?

A free account stores up to 500 MB in total, and each video is kept for 30 days. Pro stores 25 GB, takes files up to 2.0 GB each, and keeps your videos for as long as you are subscribed. Deleting a video frees its space straight away.

    Can anyone find my videos?

Only people you give a link to. Channel and video pages are kept out of search engines, the links are long random strings nobody can guess, and nothing on the site lists or recommends other people's channels. If you send a link to someone, though, they can pass it on, so treat it like the video itself.

    Is this like YouTube?

It does the part most people actually need: put a video online, send a link, have it play everywhere. It deliberately doesn't do the rest: no ads, no recommendations, no comments, no public search, no subscriber counts. It suits sharing with people you know far better than trying to get discovered by strangers.
