About this tool
Every guest at a wedding takes photos nobody else has, and most of them never leave the phone they were taken on. Event photo sharing fixes that with one QR code. Make an album for the day, print the code on the table cards or put it on a screen, and guests scan it with their phone camera to add their photos — no app to install, no account, no group chat full of compressed copies. That makes it a QR code for wedding photos that does the collecting for you: wedding photo sharing without asking forty people to send you their pictures afterwards, and wedding guest photo sharing that ends with everything in one place. It works the same way for a birthday, an anniversary, a club trip, a school event or a conference — anywhere a crowd takes pictures and one person wants them all. Nothing a guest sends is shown until you approve it, so the album only ever holds what you want in it. Approve the photos one by one or all at once, share the link with everybody who was there, and download the whole lot as one zip when the party is over. If you were looking for a wedding photo sharing app, this is the same thing in the browser: nothing for you or your guests to install, and a free account is enough to collect wedding photos from guests at a small event.
Frequently asked questions
How do I collect wedding photos from guests?
Make an event album, print its QR code and put it where people will see it — on the table cards, at the bar, on the screen during the speeches. Guests scan it with their phone camera, press Add your photos and pick the pictures they took. They land in your album, waiting for you to approve them, and once you have, everybody with the link sees them.
Do my guests need an app or an account?
No. Scanning the code opens an ordinary web page with one button, so it works on any phone with a camera and a browser. Only you need an account, because the photos are kept in your storage — and a free one is enough for a small event.
Can anybody put anything in the album?
Anybody with the QR code can send photos, but nothing they send is shown until you approve it. Each guest photo waits in your list of photos to check; approve it and it appears in the album, remove it and it is deleted from your storage. Nothing here scans the pictures for you, which is exactly why the decision is yours.
How many photos can guests add?
On a free account an album takes 100 photos from guests, which suits a birthday or a club evening. On Pro there is no count at all: guests can keep adding until your storage is full (25 GB), which is room for a big wedding.
Can I download all the photos afterwards?
Yes. Download all puts every approved photo in the album into one zip file at its original size, ready to keep, back up or hand to whoever is making the photo book. Guests can open the album and save the ones they like, too.
How long does the album stay open?
As long as you choose when you make it — a week, a month, and on Pro also ninety days, a year or no end date. On a free account the photos themselves are kept for 30 days, so download them before then. The album and everything in it can also be deleted at any time from the My work page.
Are the photos public?
No. The album is only reachable through its link or QR code, it is never indexed by search engines, and each picture is handed out through a link that expires. Anybody you give the code to can see the approved photos, so keep it to the people who were there.
Can I use it for a birthday, a party or a conference?
Yes — it works for any event where several people take photos and one person wants them all: birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, club trips, team days, school concerts, conferences. The wedding is just the most common one.
How is this different from Share Photos?
Share Photos sends your photos out: you add them, arrange them and share one link. Event Photo Sharing brings other people's photos in: you start with an empty album and a QR code, and the guests fill it. Both end in the same kind of album, and both are listed on your My work page.
